Sonoran Spa
Sonoran Resorts began their first condo project on Sandy Beach called the Sonoran Spa Resort. The Sonoran Developers joined together to create the most successful condominium project in Puerto Peñasco.
The first venture, the Sonoran Spa, proved successful. The construction of oceanfront condos created unobstructed, breathtaking views on Sandy Beach. This project of 202 condos began in late 1999, and was completed in 2001. The Sonoran Spa consists of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos, garage/storage units, La Spa, a full-service spa, convenience store, the Sonoran Grill Restaurant, on-site management company, 24-hour security, a tennis court, fitness center, internet center, three swimming pools, and two Jacuzzis.
Sonoran Sea
The next project for the Development Team was the Sonoran Sea Resort in 2002. This project was first offered to the Sonoran Spa owners prior to public sales. The Spa owners purchased 58 condos on the first day. The Sonoran Sea consists of 208 oceanfront condos on Sandy Beach. This beautiful project has 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos, garage/storage units, a tennis court, convenience store, on-site management company, 24-hour security, internet center, fitness center, El Patron’s Restaurant, aqua bar, three swimming pools, one with an infinity edge, cascades, and two Jacuzzis.
Sonoran Sun
The third project on Sandy Beach was the Sonoran Sun Resort, which broke ground in 2004. Current Sonoran owners took part in a lottery for this new property, with over 400 people in attendance. The East Building sold out in a record-breaking time of 3 hours. Fernando Anaya, the Project Director, delivered the first condo 11 months later. This was the first project to deliver both East and West Buildings simultaneously. The Sonoran Sun consists of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos, garage/storage units, a tennis court, convenience store, on-site management company, internet center, fitness center, meeting room, Emiliano’s Restaurant and Cantina, 24-hour security, aqua bar, two swimming pools, and two Jacuzzis. The property has eight large fountains and the “Zocalo”, which is a patio area located inside the Resort, where live music plays on weekends. A new spa is currently under construction on site, and will be the largest spa on Sandy Beach.
Sonoran Sky
The newest Sandy Beach project for the Sonoran Development Team is the Sonoran Sky. Delivered in the fall of 2007, the Sonoran Sky has 136 oceanfront condos. This luxurious property consists of 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom condos, garage/storage units, convenience store, oceanfront fitness center, conference/banquet rooms, playground, rooftop BBQs, 24-hour security, on-site management company, internet center, Cielo Spa & Boutique, underground parking garage, handicap parking, the Oceanview Restaurant, located steps from the beach, palapas on the beach, aqua bar, three pools, one with an infinity edge, three Jacuzzis, and a water slide with its own separate pool. The Sonoran Sky currently has several remaining brand new units for sale, with six fully furnished models for sale, as well as resale units. These condos have new, larger and upgraded floor plans with granite countertops, top of the line cabinets, and stainless steel throughout.
